So, here is where all started! One day, last summer, just before college started in Fall,my son asked me if I still remembered how to knit. A strange question coming from a 21 year old college undergrad. Both surprised and curious I said, "Well,it has been 30 years. Why?" "Can you knit me an R2D2 beanie from a pattern?", he asked. I agreed and we went shopping at Walmart. Bought 'Caron' simply soft yarn, Heather Grey and Blue. Printed the pattern, started casting on and in two days I showed him the beanie. He was so happy with the results, he asked for another one. Even after decades, it was no effort, in fact I enjoyed knitting it. I rummaged through my closets and found a craft book I bought in 1985 for sewing projects. The first chapter........Knitting and an introduction to Machine Knitting. I couldn't put that book down and that's how my knitting career started. I bought the Bond Ulitmate Knitting Machine and to my surprise was able to create almost 100 pieces of scarves, mufflers, beanies, shawls and baby blankets. Then I bought a Brother KH260 and have been knitting everyday. My business is MAV Design Concepts, find it on facebook.
